Presidents Message - August 2008

Rain, rain, go away, come again some other day. 
July has certainly had it’s share of wet weather, at least we don’t have to water the garden.

 It is time for our annual picnic.
So here are the particulars:

 WHEN: Aug. 2^nd at 12:00 Noon   RAIN or SHINE

 WHY: Because we can!

 WHAT TO BRING? It's "Pot Luck", with the club  providing Hamburg's, Hot Dogs, Buns etc.

You bring...

•  Something to eat like appetizers, sides, beverages, salads and desserts!!!

•  Lawn chairs, your turning tools, kids, wife, husband, girl friend, boy friend, S. O…….

 DIRECTIONS:

WEST:  Mass Pike to Exit 10, (Auburn)  take 290 east, to Exit 13 (Kelly Square, Vernon St.)  Turn right off ramp, (Vernon St) follow up hill to fork in road, bear LEFT, and continue uphill.  Go straight through lights at top of hill, at next fork bear LEFT, and continue downhill till end of street.  At T intersection and lights, turn RIGHT (Massasoit Rd.) Go 1 block, turn RIGHT (Kenberma Rd) #99 is on right just before you start up the hill you just came down.

 EAST:  Take Mass pike to Exit 11 (Millbury) (This is not 11A which is 495)

Turn LEFT off ramp (RT 122, Grafton St.) Follow to third set of lights and take LEFT.

(Blightwood Ave.) follow to end and take RIGHT, (Massasoit Rd) follow down hill until you come to a church.  Take LEFT (Kenberma Rd.) opposite Church front doors. #99

 SOUTH: Take 146 to 290 East, Get on 290, and stay right, get off  at first exit (13 KELLY SQUARE, VERNON St. , turn RIGHT and then follow directions from West.

 NORTH: Take 122 South, Turn RIGHT At bottom of big hill, Tatnic Sq..onto Chandler St. Follow Chandler St. straight through the city all the way.  It changes names and becomes (Madison St) just stay as straight as you can go.  This comes to KELLY SQ. Bear RIGHT through Square and head up the hill over 290.  This is VERNON St. and then follow directions from the EAST.
